DR. GITANJALI BHAGIA BAVEJA

 

Gitanjali Bhagia Baveja, M.D. graduated suma cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania  College of Arts and Sciences. Subsequently, she earned her medical degree with distinction from the George Washington University Medical School. Upon completing her internship at Washington Hospital Center, she finished her residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Virginia and pursued a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive surgery at Cornea Consultants in Mclean, Virginia.  She treats a variety of diseases including dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, cataracts, and keratoconus and was one of the first surgeons in the area to perform laser assisted corneal transplant surgery.  In addition to presenting educational seminars to her colleagues and patients, she has participated in several clinical trials.  She currently serves as the president of the DC Society of Young Ophthalmologists and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology.

 

DR. GEORGE CHAR

 

George U. Char, M.D. earned his medical degree and completed his residency training at George Washington University Medical School.  Prior to his residency training, he finished an internship at Washington Hospital Center.  He has published numerous articles in the field of neuropharmacology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, DC Metropolitan Society of Ophthalmology, and Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.  As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Char provides a full spectrum of eye care and surgery.  He treats a variety of eye diseases including diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and dry eyes.
